OSHA requires that every forklift driver be "certified" and prove they have the
knowledge and training to operate the equipment safely. Forklift 101 satisfies
this requirement for experienced drivers. Upon completion of this course,
drivers are presented with a forklift driver card similar to a drivers license.
For new drivers, this class is required to be taken before for the
Forklift 102 driving class and must be completed
successfully before they can move on to the driving class.
